Until now, typical vacation and adventure destinations that have been available for families were mainly fast-paced, tourist-oriented, and impersonal. Most family vacation destinations placed very little emphasis, if any, on overall holistic health and well-being. Family resorts and vacation spots were geared toward providing adults and children fast food and junk food, chlorine pools, toxic environments, institutional-type accommodations, and theme park style activities.  Wellness retreats have mostly only been available to adults.
